36 days of type - Animated Typeface

36daysoftype is a yearly online project that invites artists, designers, and creatives from around the world to participate in a challenge where they create and share their interpretations of the letters and numbers of the alphabet. The project spans 36 days, with each day focusing on a different letter or number. Participants are encouraged to showcase their creativity and explore various styles and techniques in their designs. For this year's edition I created an animated typeface inspired by neoplasticism and Bauhaus.




For this year's edition of 36daysoftype, I hand-created an animated typography project using Adobe Fresco. Drawing inspiration from neoplasticism and the Bauhaus school of design, specifically artists like El Lissitzky, Laszlo Moholy-Nagy and Kandinsky, the project explores geometric compositions and primary colors. By drawing each frame individually, I aimed to bring to life the dynamic side of this avant-garde style through animation, offering a fresh perspective on their artistic vision.
